Why I Started Fryer Property Consultancy

After more than 20 years working in construction, property development, project management, and property investment, I've realised that one of the most valuable assets you gain isn't property itself—it's experience.

Over the years, I've found myself receiving more and more phone calls from friends, family, previous clients, landlords, investors, and first-time buyers.

The questions are often very similar:

  • "Can you help me price this job?"

  • "What would you do in this situation?"

  • "Can you look at this property before I buy it?"

  • "Does this quote seem reasonable?"

  • "How much do you think this renovation will cost?"

  • "Do you think this project stacks up financially?"

What started as the occasional favour gradually became a regular occurrence.

People were looking for practical advice from someone who had been through the process themselves. Not necessarily a formal report. Not necessarily a lengthy survey. Just honest, straightforward guidance that could help them make a better decision.

That's when I realised there was a gap in the market.

Practical Advice Without the Complications

There will always be a place for chartered surveyors, structural engineers, architects, and specialist consultants.

However, many people simply need an experienced second opinion before deciding whether to spend  thousands of pounds on a property, renovation, or development opportunity.

In many cases, they don't need a detailed report.

They need answers.

They need guidance.

They need confidence.

That's exactly what Fryer Property Consultancy aims to provide.

Property Advice Made Simple

One of the biggest frustrations within the industry is how long simple answers can take.

A potential buyer may need to contact several different professionals just to gain a basic understanding of a property.

By the time appointments have been arranged and reports have been produced, opportunities can be lost.

Our approach is different.

Sometimes the process can be as simple as sending photographs through WhatsApp.

From those photographs, we can often provide:

  • Initial observations

  • Potential concerns to investigate further

  • Estimated repair costs

  • Renovation guidance

  • Development potential

  • Budget planning advice

  • Property investment insights

  • Estimated end values following improvement works

The aim is not to replace specialist reports where they are required.

The aim is to help clients quickly understand whether a property, project, or opportunity is worth pursuing before spending significant time and money.

Built Around Speed and Efficiency

Throughout my career, I have developed systems and frameworks that allow me to assess projects quickly and efficiently.

Having renovated properties, managed construction projects, negotiated purchases, raised finance, and worked alongside a wide range of industry professionals, I understand what information matters and what questions should be asked.

This allows me to provide practical guidance in a straightforward and understandable way.

The goal is simple:

To help people avoid costly mistakes, identify opportunities, save money where possible, and move forward with confidence.

Experience You Can Access

Not everybody has a property developer, construction professional, or experienced investor they can call for advice.

Fryer Property Consultancy gives people access to over 20 years of hands-on experience without the need for lengthy appointments, complicated processes, or expensive consultancy fees.

Whether you're buying your first property, planning a renovation, assessing an investment opportunity, or simply need a second opinion, our role is to help you make informed decisions with confidence.

Sometimes a quick conversation, a few photographs, or an independent opinion can save thousands of pounds.

That's exactly why Fryer Property Consultancy was created.
